A pet food label can seem confusing, with lots of information and unfamiliar terms, but it doesn't have to be! Here, we will define and summarize the most important things to look for on a label:   **Type of food:** this indicates whether a food is **complete and balanced** (containing ingredients in addition to animal proteins, such as rice, vegetables, vitamins, minerals) or **complementary** (containing a limited amount of ingredients without any additives).   **Ingredients:** The  **ingredients** contained in the recipe are listed in descending order, from the highest quantity to the lowest. The ingredients can be presented as singular items or in grouped categories.   **Guaranteed analysis:** This is information on the product's nutrient content (similar to nutrition labels on human foods). It provides a guarantee of the minimum percentages of crude protein and crude fat, and the maximum percentages of crude fiber, moisture and ash.Almo Nature offers both **complete and balanced** (nutritionally balanced) and **complementary foods**.
